The tears fall silently as I sit and stare into the memories of my heart

Not even knowing how real those moments, those feelings, were for you.

Romanticizing in my mind what could have been, possibly what was.

And I want it- want you- more than ever.

I filled my head and my heart with you-

Now I need to escape from myself.

You were my distraction, my peace, my alternate reality.

And now all that never even seemed to be

Is crashing down on me.
